Ergonomics For Playing Video Games Pain Free

Today many of us can spend a lot of hours playing video games every single day. Ergonomics refers to the way in which we design our space to provide the best comfort and position. If you spend a lot of time on your computer or games console then it is important to have the best understanding of this concept so as to prevent recurrent pain problems. There are six main concepts that can prevent you from having pain due to your position -

1. You should position the lower part of your back firmly against your seat. This will provide support and help keep your spine in an upright and suitable position. It also helps to have your feet placed firmly on the floor as opposed to dangling in the air. You want your weight to be equally spread out.

2. If you are using a computer mouse or games controller, your arms should be kept parallel to the floor with your elbows close to your sides. Make sure your shoulders do not fell tense. Choose a chair that provides you with this type of seating position.

3. If you have to stretch for an object you can strain your shoulder muscles. Keep everything you need within close reach of you. Even if it is a cup of tea or a bag of snacks you can pull a muscle if you have to stretch too much for them.

4. Make sure your monitor or screen is directly in front of you. If you have to twist your body or your neck to see the visuals of the video games then you are likely to cause a degree of pain to these areas. Keep your legs uncrossed so as to ensure good blood circulation.

5. Whether you are using a computer monitor or TV screen you need to place great attention to your line of vision. This needs to be directly in line with the top of the screen for the most ergonomically suited position. Most people eyes will gaze down so you should never have to keep looking up to see the screen.

6. Neck pains can be very debilitating. If you plan to talk to other people that are not in the room with you when you are playing video games then do not place your mobile tightly between your neck and shoulder. Either use the speakerphone feature on the mobile or purchase a headset.
